Grant Alert: RAISE 3.0 racialized entpreneurs eligible for $10k!
The Racialized and Indigenous Supports for Entrepreneurs (RAISE) Grant Program is an incredible opportunity for Indigenous, Black, and other racialized business owners to take their ventures to the next level. This Ontario-based initiative offers more than just financial support; it’s a comprehensive program designed to help entrepreneurs grow and thrive in their industries.
What’s Included?
Participants in the program will benefit from:
- Business Development Training: Access at least 5 hours of online training that is self-paced and tailored to your specific needs as a racialized or Indigenous entrepreneur.
- Culturally Responsive Business Coaching: Gain 5 to 10 hours of business coaching and network with other entrepreneurs to expand your professional connections.
- $10,000 Grant: Upon completing the program requirements, you’ll receive a one-time grant to fuel your business.
Who is Eligible?
To apply, your business must:
- Be registered with the Canada Revenue Agency.
- Employ 1 to 5 full-time employees, or up to 10 employees if you’re in the Accommodation and Food Services sector.
- Operates in Ontario on October 2, 2024.
- In the market demonstrating sales/revenue. Businesses with ideas only or unproven products and services are not eligible.
- Demonstrates need for and intended use of the grant funding.
- Nature of the business is legal under applicable laws in Ontario and Canada.
- Be owned by an Indigenous, Black, or other racialized individual 18 years and older.
How Does It Work?
The program runs for 12 weeks, allowing you to continue managing your business while participating. During this time, you’ll complete:
- Online Business Training (minimum of 5 hours)
- Business Coaching and Networking (5 to 10 hours)
- Business Action Plan Development
These steps are crucial to unlocking the $10,000 grant.
