The Meridian Small Business Big Impact Awards 2025 are here! If you’re a small business owner in Ontario, this is your chance to be recognized for the meaningful work you do in your community. With a total of $200,000 in cash prizes, Meridian Credit Union is shining a spotlight on entrepreneurs who are driving innovation, sustainability, and positive change across the province.
What Are the Meridian Small Business Big Impact Awards?
Hosted by Meridian Credit Union, the Meridian Small Business Big Impact Awards 2025 celebrate the essential role small businesses play in Ontario’s economy and communities.
The program recognizes businesses in five regions:
- Northern Ontario
- Southern Ontario
- Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
- Niagara/Hamilton
- Indigenous Entrepreneurs
Awards and Prizes
- Total Prize Pool: $200,000 in cash prizes
- Regional Awards: 15 businesses will each receive $10,000
- Grand Prize – Ontario Votes: In early 2026, one of the regional winners will be chosen by a province-wide public vote to receive an additional $50,000
Winning a Meridian Small Business Big Impact Award not only provides funding but also raises your visibility and credibility within Ontario’s small business community.
Who Can Be Nominated?
Your business may qualify for the Meridian Small Business Big Impact Awards 2025 if you meet these criteria:
- Registered and operating solely in Ontario
- Fewer than 50 employees
- Annual revenue under $10 million
- In business for at least 12 months
- Non-profits and registered charities are also eligible
And yes—you can even nominate your own business.
What Meridian Is Looking For
Nominees should show how they are making a big impact in their communities. The awards celebrate businesses that stand out in:
- Innovation and creative problem-solving
- Environmental stewardship and sustainable practices
- Inclusive employment and workplace diversity
- Community support and positive social change
